Happy Easter!

Another one of my attempts at nail art - Easter egg nails.

I used Essie Bikini So Teeny (blue), Zoya Piaf (yellow), Zoya GeiGei (pink), Zoya Julie (purple) and Zoya Tracie (green), two coats each.  All of these polishes were perfection on the nail.  Piaf, GeiGei and Julie have this gorgeous shimmer to them that makes them pop.

I used a dotting tool and a striping brush to do the rest.  I was happy with them, they were cute and fun and my kids loved them.

I hope you all have a very blessed and wonderful Easter!

Kawako

Today I have another Rainbow Honey - Kawako.  This is a dark blue with small silver microglitters.  The coverage was perfect in 2 coats and this was another knockout by Rainbow Honey.

I've been so impressed with their products that I've purchased.  The packaging is top notch and I feel that they have a great marketing strategy.  I've been very pleased with all of my products.

Take a Ride on the Tokaido Express

This is NARS Tokaido Express, a beautiful plum polish with a perfect shimmer.  You see two coats on the nail below.

I thought the control was very good and the brush was easy to work with.  The cap on this can be a bit unwieldy  but I think as with all of these big capped polishes a sub-cap is underneath.  I was just too afraid to take it off in case there wasn't one!

I was very happy with this polish.

Chocolat gets Sprung

This is one of my favorite combos!

I started off with 2 coats of OPI Sprung, a gorgeous polish from the Mariah Carey collection that is a bronze with many multi colored shimmers.  This is one of those polishes that just is so awesome on the nail, it pops when it catches the light.

Then I put one coat of Amy's Nail Boutique Chocolat over the top.  Chocolat has white square glitter, multi-sized chocolate glitter and small pops of color with orange and yellow glitter.  Great combo!

Oni

Today I have a gorgeous polish - Rainbow Honey Oni.  Oni is a stunner with a brown base and gold and lavender flakies.  This is two perfect coats.  I couldn't have been more thrilled with the coverage or the look of this polish on the nail.

Yo Yo You Ho

Today I have Dollish Polish Yo Ho Ho A Pirates Life for Me, a red jelly base with multi colored glitter suspended in it.  I have used no undies here.  This is three thin coats, two still had some gaps on the nail.  I am such a sucker for jelly bases with glitter and I liked how this one had a multi-colored glitter blend inside of it with that shiny finish that jellies are known for.

Paradoxal

Today I have one of my 40th birthday splurges - Chanel Paradoxal.  The formula on my Chanels is truly unparalleled and I'm glad I used my gift certificate on this beauty!

This is 2 coats.  It is hard to see the shimmer that Paradoxal imparts on the nail, but it is truly breathtaking in person.

Angel Food is Crazy for Chic

This is another great combo, I started out with 2 coats of Loreal Crazy for Chic, a bright pink creme.  Then I put one coat of Lynnderella Angel Food over top.  I loved the shimmer in Angel Food and how that translated onto the nail.  It had a subtle holographic shimmer to it and was the kind of polish you just stared at all day.

Hey Jude

This is Enchanted Polish Hey Jude, a green to purple flashing duochrome holographic polish.  I found the application on this one to be a little thin and as such challenging, but it sure does sing on the nail doesn't it?

Plus, I have an affinity for the Beatles because they were the singers of my Wedding Song - Here, There, Everywhere.  My husband has always been a huge Beatles fan and so we thought this represented us well in addition to being timeless.

Princess Luna is a Wonderchild

GAH, posting fail last week, I was so busy with work and life I never had a chance to get anything together.  This week seems less stressful, so hopefully more posting from me!

An FYI, I am having a big blog sale!  Blog Sale  Lots of things you've seen on the blog are on here!  I need to thin the stash a bit to make room for more.  My husband will disown me if I buy another Melmer.

I started off with 2 coats of Kat Von D Wonderchild, a beautiful color shifter that had such character on the nail.  I found it was easy to control on the nail and easy to clean up as well.

Then I put one coat of Candy Lacquer Princess Luna over top.  As with most of my Candy Lacquers, I found it to be thick and hard to apply at times.  I really like the glitter blends in them, but they are one of the harder ones to work with in my opinion.

My White Lighter Boyfriend Scales Walls

Today I have my favorite white based polish - OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.  It goes on surprisingly well, giving full coverage in two coats.  It isn't chalky or streaky as some whites can tend to be.  It isn't stark white, so it is a great layering polish underneath lots of sheers.   It has become my go-to for whites.

Then I put on GlitterDaze My White Lighter over top.  This polish is very sheer, but stunning.  A homage to the amazing Leo from Charmed, it is as beautiful as his relationship was with Piper (one of my all time favorite couples from TV ever!).   The coverage on this was perfection.  I loved this combo!

OPI can be purchased at Ulta, GlitterDaze can be purchased through their online store.

Hilary is Badass

Today I have one of my favorite polishes, Sheswai Badass, a gorgeous coppery brown with so much character and shimmer.  I used two coats below and it was pure perfection!

Then as an accent, I added on Julep Hilary, a small gold and copper hex glitter topper, it added a great little punch to an already awesome manicure!

Sheswai can be purchased online at their website, http://www.sheswaibeauty.com/splash.html.   Julep can be purchased through www.julep.com.

The Flowers are Blue-Ming on the Party of a Dress

I have another fun combo today, I started out with OPI The Flowers are Blue-Ming, a blue scattered holographic polish that was an Ulta exclusive.  I loved this polish, such a fun punch with the holo and I loved how it kept its pigment.  I used two coats below.

Then I put one coat of Lynnderella Party of a Dress, a glitter topcoat with varying sizes of purple and blue glitters.  This one was a total stunner on the nail!  The pictures just don't do it justice.

OPI can be purchased through Ulta, Lynnderella can be purchased through her ebay store.

Oh Teally Joins the Russian Navy

Today I have yet another OPI/Amy's Nail Boutique combo for you, I started off with 2 coats of OPI Russian Navy, a beautiful shimmery blurple.  It was a tiny bit thin, but I think if I let it sit for a bit that it will get better.

Then I applied one coat of Amy's Nail Boutique Oh Teally on top, a beautiful multi-sized teal glitter topcoat. It even have circles!  I loved this beautiful combo.  As with all of my Amy's it applied easily on the nail from the bottle.  I never have to fish for glitters from Amy!

OPI can be purchased from Ulta, Amy's Nail Boutique can be purchased through her Etsy Store.

Jewel Cops a Teal

Today I started off with OPI DS Jewel, probably the black sheep of the DS collection as far as I'm concerned.  I was very meh over it, which I have never really been over any of the DSes.

So naturally, I thought it best to top it with glitter!  Glitter makes everything better.  I used one coat of Amy's Nail Boutique Cop a Teal.  I love the color combination of this glitter, you have copper and teal working together!  The shine and shimmer on these glitters were so eye catching I feel it look a mani I was meh over to a mani I loved.

Soft Kitty loves Bluey

I have one of my favorite manis today!  I started off with two coats of Butter London Bluey, a great formula and application on the nail.  I was really impressed with this polish and it is definitely a fantastic color.

Then I put one coat of Amy's Nail Boutique Soft Kitty over top.  LOVE.  The holographic sparkle combined with the different glitters over such a great color just made my day.  Application was also perfect, as always with my Amy's.

Butter London can be found at Ulta and Nordstrom, Amy's Nail Boutique can be purchased through her Etsy store.
