Spectral Pup on Porchester Place
I needed to switch it up from the dark colors, so I went bright orange.
I started out with two coats of Nails, Inc Porchester Place. This was another one of those I scored on sale through Sephora and I love the Nails, Inc polishes so much I figured I'd eventually find a use for it.
It was BRIGHT. Like this photo doesn't do it justice bright. Too bright for winter almost.
So I decided to tone it down a bit by adding one coat of Dollish Polish Spectral Pup on top. Spectral Pup toned it down the perfect amount. I also loved this polish because it didn't "scream" Halloween to me, so I can wear it year round. Again as with all of the Dollish Polishes I own, perfect application. Dollish was the second indy brand I decided to try and I've yet to be disappointed with her polishes (which is why I own so many of them!)
A fun combo that was a departure from all of the dark holiday manis I've been doing.
Dollish Polish can be purchased at her Big Cartel Store.

Coffee, anyone?
Today I have a coffee themed mani, with two polishes named French Roast.
I started out with Revlon French Roast, a gorgeous coffee brown with slight micro-flakies to give it some interest. This polish went on very well and I'm very happy with it. I've had great luck with Revlon polishes in general.
Then I sponged Cirque French Roast on the tips not too heavy, I just wanted a tad of visual interest without being like "glitter bomb!" I was very happy with the blend of glitter colors in Cirque French Roast.
Now I need another espresso!

I've Got a Spell On You
Another red and gold combo for the holidays today. I used Barielle Elle's Spell.
This is a red jelly base with flakies. It really shines and the flakies add a bit of interest.
I of course had a application fail on the middle finger. I don't know if that is angle of photo or I put too much on that side or my nail is curving or what. That nail is always my more curvy nail, it is even worse on my right hand from where I hold my pen (and that cuticle is DESTROYED on my right hand). However, I don't think I have a frankennail THAT bad. Or at least I hope not.
Cripes, bad enough I worry about every other body part, now my nails too? I have to ask myself from now on "do my nails look fat in this polish"? Oy. However, after very deep inspection from every angle, I can say this was either a camera angle or polish globbing. I can't say which, although with jellies, likely globbing. I seem to recall this one didn't make it through the night either, so I'm going to go with globbing. Yeah, that's the ticket. My nails aren't fat or deformed.
So yeah, sorry about the scary nail. Pretty polish though! lol.

Bad Romance in Purple Haste
I have another beautiful purple mani today, I started off with two coats of Sally Hansen Purple Haste, a gorgeous purple with blue microflecks in it. I despise the brush that comes with the insta dri, but overall it applies great and evenly, so I'm happy about the polish quality.
Then I put on one coat of Deborah Lippmann Bad Romance, with light purple glitter in a black jelly base. You don't see as much of the undercoat as I had hoped showing through, but I still think it looked fabulous.

Sally Hansen can be purchased at drug stores. Deborah Lippmann can be purchased at Nordstrom or HSN.

Johnny Loves Dark Coffee
I found another combo in the recesses of my computer folders that I had done back in October, but I thought was still "fall" enough to include.
I started off with two coats of Milani Dark Coffee, a beautiful deep brown that has great coverage in two coats. Then I put one coat of Lacquistry Heeere's Johnny! on top.
I thought the glitter spread on this was fantastic and really added a great fun punch to Dark Coffee.
Milani can be purchased at local drug stores. Lacquistry can be purchased through her Etsy Store.
