Today's post features one of the new "rubber" finishes from Illamasqua named Aorta.  The finish on these was like nothing else I owned and I couldn't stop feeling my nails.

This formula was outstanding and it wore like IRON.  I thought not having a top coat would cause a problem, but not at all, four days later this was still chip free.

I was thrilled with the brush and application of this polish, this may be my first Illamasqua, but it definitely won't be my last!

Macro - look at how smooth this applies!  (the dent is my own nail, not the polish).
Illamasqua polishes can be purchased at Sephora.

  1. Oh my gosh, I HAVE to have this. This color is gorgeous, and the rubber finish... just.... dude. I need this in my life.

    1. Yes! I really thought the finish was so unique and awesome. Some of the matte's don't look great on me (basically all but ManGlaze), but this was just stunning on the nail and applied great. The only flaws I saw were that from injury (i.e. the big divots in my nails from a door vs. finger incident at Disney).

  2. Ah, looks so cool! I need to try a Illamasqua polish some day:)

  3. This is really gorgeous! Sounds like a great one! I love the finish on it!

  4. Loving this color!!! I tagged you for a Liebster Blog Award! :D http://tesdiditnails.blogspot.com/

  5. Haha, what a strange name for a nail polish!! Is it supposed to represent blood??? It is gorgeous though!!!

  6. Wow! The colour of this name kind of grossed me out, but isn't it such a beautiful colour! I almost want to spend the $25 it costs over here for a bottle! I love it!
