Black Swan on Warwick Way

Today I have the lovely Once Upon a Polish Black Swan, a gorgeous diamond shaped black and white glitter with a microfine holo.

I decided to paint it over two coats of Nails, Inc Warwick Way, a beautiful teal polish.

Black Swan is truly stunning on the nail.  It is a polish you have to either dab or manipulate once it gets on the nail in order to get the placement you want.  I didn't want a lot of overlap on the nail, but once it got on the nail, the glitter was very easy to move with the brush to where you wanted it.   I thought the glitter laid down well on the nail and was smooth with one coat of Seche and one coat of Essie Good to Go.  The microfine glitter sparks just enough in the sun that it doesn't overpower the overall look, but it makes a nice little sparkle.

I am a sucker for the black and white combos and this one certainly didn't disappoint, I can't tell you the number of times I have held up my nails, checked them out and smiled.

Onto the photos!

I didn't color correct the first batch, so Warwick appears more blue in the photos, but this shows off the white in Black Swan:

I included the thumb in this one to show off the neat design the polish made with the black and white coming together

This one shows off the subtle holo.

Here is a color adjusted photo of Warwick Way on its own:

You can purchase Once Upon a Polish from her Etsy Store. Nails, Inc can be purchased at Sephora.

  3. I did a similar color combo. I used Kleancolor Real Teal under Black swan. Epically awesome :-)

    1. I agree, I had a ton of colors I thought this would work well over, but in the end teal won! Great minds think alike! Thanks for commenting!

  4. I am SO in love with both of these! Warwick is on my must buy asap list, and I sadly just found out that Once Upon a Polih doesn't ship to Canada... :( I love your combination too, great pairing!

    1. I know what a lot of people do to circumvent international shipping restrictions is find a US buddy to swap with. So they purchase it, you pay for them to ship it to you. Or you can arrange to swap with them for the polishes that we can't get easily here in the US. If you haven't found a swap buddy by the time I get back from vacation, I'd be happy to try to figure something out with you!
