Dog Day Dream

Today is another pretty red based polish - Hare Dog Day Dream.  This polish has multiple glitters suspended in a reddish-pink jelly base.  

I thought the application was great and the glitter spread was perfect.   What I've found to be Hare's signature is how well they design and work with the jelly base / glitter combo.   I was very happy with the polish!  I've been very fortunate to have great luck with the indie polishes I've gotten!

I have a Christmasy mani today.  I started off with two coats of Zoya Sookie, a gorgeous red with orangy undertones.  Zoya application is always perfection, especially with reds which always stain the cuticles so badly you always need to be careful. 

Then I put one coat of Sea Lore Arista over top.  Arista is a red jelly base with flakies and glitter.  It went on well and had great coverage.  I've been very happy with my Sea Lore polishes and I hope to get some of her newest line soon!

Leaf Piles Make Me Smile Until Dark

Today I have two great colors and one failed nail art attempt!  Oh well, can't win them all, right?

I started off with two coats of Ciate Wait Until Dark.  I was very happy with the application and spread of this polish.  Ciate is a great line, I just wish they were on sale at Sephora more often!  

Then I thought I'd do something interesting and put glitter on only the top half of the nail, I put on two coats of Lacquistry Leaf Piles Make Me Smile.  I loved the color combos, but as you can see, my application was lacking.  Oh well.   This was of no fault of the polish, which is simply magnificent.  As with all of my Lacquistry polishes, it is among the very highest quality.  Not to mention Jenna has THE BEST customer service of all indies.  She is just amazing and such a great person.  I'm very proud to support her as a small business owner. 

I love the mix of color in Leaf Piles.

Silent Night Wrapped in Jewels

Another "two posts in a day" day.  I had to share yet another Christmas beauty!  (Plus I have so many posts lined up from just being a slacker in late September / October, I need to double up to catch up!)

I started off with two coats of Venique Wrapped in Jewels.  I was pretty happy with the formula, I thought it went on very easily and held up well.  The shimmer in it was gorgeous.

Then I sponged Amy's Nail Boutique Silent Night on the tips down to about the middle of the nail.  

Holy wow.

See what I mean about Amy's winter collection being by far my favorite???  So many beautiful polishes here with the added bonus of being able to wear most of them any time of the year.  This one is my favorite, it just took my breath away.

As with all of Amy's polishes, it went on perfectly.  Amy truly has a gift for great polish combination with superior formula.

Pshiiiit, Fairy Cake

If you haven't already entered my giveaway, please do so!  

Today I have another one of the Picture Polish blogger / retailer line Pshiiit.  This one has grown on me.  Originally when I put it on, I didn't care for it, I thought the flakies looked more like application errors.  However now that I see the photos of it?  I realize it looked better than I thought it did in my head.  Worth giving it another go.  Here you see 2 coats of Pshiiit.  As with all of my Picture Polishes, application was perfection.  I'm in love with this line.

Because I wasn't a huge fan of pshiiit at the time of application, I decided to bling this baby up by putting on Butter, London Fairy Cake.  Holy WOW.  I am so in love with the Butter, London holiday line, they are showstoppers.  The kind of polish that you put on and you gasp to yourself thinking "OH MY, this is PERFECT!".  I highly encourage you to pick these up if you see them!  A lot of them were 11.28 on Amazon.com recently, ULTA often has B2G1 sales as well.

Hi-Res Calls Me Gorgeous

I decided I wanted some pizzazz underneath, so I started off with two coats of Milani Hi-Res, a purple holo (my lightbox doesn't like to show off holos and it was night when I did this, booooo hisssss).

Then I put one coat of Call Me Gorgeous on top.  I loved this combo.  I loved how the teal and deep purple worked with the softness of Hi-Res.

The Vampire Coven is Nevermore

Here is one of my favorite Dollish Polishes, Vampire Coven.  I loved the mix of glitters.  I originally got this hoping it would be a dupe of Lynnderella Very Pretty Vampire, and it is close, but not exact.  I'm happy to own both.  To see Lynnderella photos click here.  

I started out with my one coat of magnificence that is Cult Nails Nevermore.  A deep shining black that never disappoints.  Then I put one coat of Vampire Coven over top.  WINNING.

I love this combo.  As with all of my Dolly's, I'm in love.

Secret Service in the Koi Pond

I started out with OPI Her Majesty's Secret Service, a great polish from the recent Skyfall collection.  There are so many fun colors in this one, it was so striking on the nail.  It just kept on surprising.

This is two coats below.  As with all OPI, application was flawless.

After a few days of tip wear, I decided to top it with Rainbow Honey Koi Pond.  Meh, not my best pairing, Koi pond is a hard one to find undies for because there is so much going on in it.  I like to share all of my successes and failures though, so here it is!
