Train Underwater

I have Pahlish Train Underwater for you today, a stunning blue jelly base packed full of multi colored and sized glitters.  You see three thin coats in the photos below, no undies.  I love that this didn't need any undies, but really covered the visible nail line well.

I thought the formula and application were great, sometimes with these jellies they can be too thick or thin and that makes it hard to apply.  Plus the shine was just out of this world bananas!

Just look at all these glitters!
Pahlish can be purchased at her Etsy Store or Llarowe.

Neon Sapphire Under the Festival of Lights

Today I have Kleancolor Neon Sapphire, a matte jelly finish of a deep blue.  The formula on this one was a bit runny, so it got away from me (and all over my cuticles!) making it hard to clean up, but I did love the finish and color to it!  You see two coats below.

Then I topped it with Amy's Nail Boutique Festival of Lights Teal.  The first photos shows it in difused light box light, but the last show it directly under the lamp and that shine and holo goodness!  Amazing how different it looks depending on the light source.  As with all of my Amy's, the formula was perfection.  She is definitely one of my favorite indie polish makers (and the one I now own the most of!)

I have only been able to purchase Kleancolors online, I've never seen them in a store locally.  Most of them I get from Amazon.  Amy's Nail Boutique can be purchased through her Etsy Store.

Saucy

Today I have Revlon Saucy, an red base with orange/gold flecks in it.  Revlon is another one of those drug store polishes that rarely disappoints me.  It has a great formula and applies very well on the nail.  You see two coats below on the nail.

I thought this polish had a great look and with the shimmer it added a nice touch of pretty to the nail!  The price is right for a great polish!

Revlon polishes can be purchased at CVS.

Thanks so Muchness for Undead Red

I started off with OPI Thanks so Muchness, from the Alice in Wonderland collection.  This is a softer red, with a bit of shimmer (I tried to capture it in the macro).  I thought the application on this one was a tad challenging, it was a bit thin, but for the most part it was a great polish!

Then I topped it with a coat of Lynnderella Undead Red.  I think this was the wrong undies for this, I want to try this again over a purple to see if that makes the red pop more.  Regardless, I really loved the colors and glitters in Undead Red.  A great polish!  I had no issues with application on this one.

OPI can be purchased at Ulta, Lynnderella can be purchased through her Ebay store.

Chocolatta is Rich in Heart

Today I started off with two coats of Sinful Rich in Heart, a beautiful deep brown with some shimmer.  I've always been pleasantly surprised by Sinful's formula, it is really easy to manage on the nail and has great wearing power.  You can't beat that for the price!  The only downside to Sinful for me is that a lot of my retailers don't keep much in stock!  BOOOO.

Then I topped it with a coat of Lynnderella Chocolatta Love which is jammed packed with multi colored square glitters.  I loved this combo.

Happy Superbowl Sunday!  Even though I've lived in MD my entire life, I am NOT rooting for the Ravens, I am a Redskins fan through and through!   It is simply not in my DNA to root for the Ravens for anything, ever.  EVER.   Plus, let's face it, RGIII > Ray Lewis by miles as a person and a human being.  Yes, I'm a huge football girl, I grew up in a football loving family with four older brothers!  I know more about football than most of the men who I work with!

So GO GO SAN FRANCISCO!  Who are you rooting for?  Did you do a football mani?  If so, I'd love for your to share in the comments!  If I am not already a follower, I'll give you a follow!

Spirit of Wonder

Today I have another Rainbow Honey, The Spirit of Wonder, a beautiful white base with various colors of blue glitter with a gorgeous shimmer.  I thought the formula on this was great, this is with no undies and three coats.  I love any white polish that can be opaque and non-streaky after 2-3 coats!   This polish was part of their Holiday Collection.

I don't think white polishes always look great next to my skin tone though, but I love how they look on everyone else!   The cool thing about white polishes is they seem to attract a lot of attention from others, so I got tons of compliments on my nails.  Which, I'm not going to lie, I love getting!

Do you like white based polishes?  What ones are your favorites?

Rainbow Honey can be purchased at their Online store.

Gloria Basks in the Glittering Rapture

A few weeks ago I saw this photo on Rainbow Honey's facebook page:

Super Awesome Rainbow Honey Mani

I knew I had to re-create it.  Sadly, I didn't have gold striping tape, only red, but I still think it turned out pretty awesome.  Thank you so much to Rainbow Honey for sharing this inspiration!

I started off with two coats of Nicole by OPI Basking in Gloria, this is another from the Modern Family collection and I loved this one too.  Then I used one coat of Rainbow Honey Glittering Rapture on the side and put the red striping tape down the center.

I got SO MANY compliments on this manicure!

Rainbow Honey can be purchased through their Online store.  Nicole by OPI can be found at CVS or Ulta.

Everything But the Kitchen Sink

As I was going through my photos last night, I found a bunch of photos that I never got around to posting for whatever reason, so I decided to throw them all in one post since I wanted to share them, but not all of them are seasonally appropriate.  lol.

So here is everything but the kitchen sink!

This is OPI I'm Dating a Royal.  I have NO earthly idea what that texture is on my nails.  I assume I took this the next day or something?  It didn't look like that until the photo.  But, as you can see, great finish and great color, user error on my part.

Darling Diva Polish - Christmas Story 2012.  WOWZERS.  I avoided most "Christmas" red and greed polishes because I figured outside of two weeks in December, I wouldn't wear them.  This was my one exception.  Red and green holo goodenss.  LOVE.  But it is obviously Christmassy, so kitchen sink post it goes.   I layered this over a England Camelot, one of the best blacks in creation!

Dollish Polish I'm the Boogie Man - this was one of her Halloween Polishes, this is two coats, no undies.  I didn't think I was going to love this one, but I really did.  I think this could work in springtime as well because it is shimmery and pastel, it doesn't scream Halloween to me.

Manglaze Matte is Murder with F4 Nightmare Forest over top.  Manglaze makes, hands down, the BEST matte polishes ever.  If you don't own them?  You need to.  You need to run right out and get yourself one.  They are all magnificent.  They also make fun layering polishes because they impart a really cool shimmer underneath the polish.   Nightmare Forest was great, but obviously VERY Halloween.

Manglaze  Fatty's Got More Blood with Candy Lacquer Vampire's Kiss.  Again, Manglaze love from me.  Buy some.  Now.  Stop reading and buy buy buy buy!  (I will always be the devil on your shoulder convincing you to buy stuff, always).  Vampire's Kiss was one of my better Candy Lacquer formulas, my others tend to be very thick, but this was just right.  It doesn't scream Halloween to me either!  I managed to get two hearts on the same nail too!

Well, I think that catches me up!  lol.  Sorry these weren't posted in a more timely manner!    Have an awesome weekend!

OPI can be purchased at Ulta.

What the Hayley Are You Doing?

Today I thought I would feature another polish similar to what I posted yesterday, Lacquistry What the Hayley Are You Doing?   This is a departure from her normal glitter bomb polishes and I love how rich it is.  I didn't need to use any undies for this either!

I thought it applied very well and loved all of the multitude of colors.  It really came alive in the sun.  Soft greens and purples accent this beauty!

Excuse the tips, stupid Seche and shrinkage!  SHRINKAGE!  ARGH.  Bane of my existence

Lacquistry can be purchased on her Etsy Shop.
