Frosty and His Chauffeur

Another two-fer day.  This was another polish combo I loved so much I couldn't wait to share it.

I started out with Essie Where's My Chauffeur, which is hands down my favorite of Essie's winter line.  It is close to several other colors, but not exact.  Two coats had full coverage and great shine.

Then to add some bling, I added Amy's Nail Boutique Frosty to the top.  Oh Frosty, you amazing topcoat you.  Look at that shimmer.  Look at the mix of glitters.  It is just pure perfection.

I have a deep and abiding love affair with my polishes from Amy's Nail Boutique and I said yesterday that her winter line was hands down my favorite indie collection for winter.  I have double posted because I want anyone and everyone to go out and get her beauties because they are AHMAZING.  You really don't want to miss them!   You can tell I've been highlighting many of her polishes (and I still have a few more on the camera card!).  Any indie polish maker I keep coming back to is because they have won my customer loyalty through great polishes, fantastic customer service and innovative ideas that stand the test of time.

Just look at this!
Essie can be found at Ulta and Target.  Amy's Nail Boutique can be found at her Etsy Store.

VamPink is Fuggen Ugly

I am so excited to share today's mani because it is one of my favorite combos I've done in a while.

I started out with one coat of ManGlaze Fuggen Ugly, a perfect matte grey.  As with all ManGlaze, the formula is outstanding and is unmatched among any matte polishes.

Then I put on two coats of Lynnderella VamPink, a stunner of a polish with silver, black and fuschia glitters in a magenta jelly base.  This polish was one of those where you put it on and in the first stroke you are amazed.  I was immediately and totally in love.  It skyrocketed to my favorite polishes of all time list.  I loved it!

Manglaze can be ordered through amazon or their facebook page.  Lynnderella can be purchased on ebay.

Baker St adorned in a Festival of Lights

I'm having a two-fer today because I just had to share this pretty.

I have to say I've been geniunely underwhelmed by most of the holiday polish lines coming out, both comercially and indie.  But then there is the amazing Amy's Nail Boutique who made a holiday line I needed to own.  It was a fantastic collection full of lots of different glitter combos that could be worn any time of year for the most part.  They worked perfectly for the holidays, but weren't so over the top red/green Christmasy that you'd only get to wear them for 1 month before putting them away.  So this line has my "Top Indie Holiday Line 2012" stamp of awesomeness.

I started off with two coats of Nails, Inc Baker St, an amazing blue (that I didn't get photos of this time by itself that turned out).  Then I added one coat of Amy's Nail Boutique Festival of Lights over top.

HOLY AMAZEBALLS.

A beautiful combo of small holographic and blue glitter, it is a true stunner!

RUN to Amy's shop to by the Festival of Lights!!!!

Amy's Nail Boutique can be purchased at her etsy store.

It's Complicated

Today I have Emily de Molly It's Complicated, a milky white base with purple and black glitters.  I managed to score this one in a group buy months ago from her Etsy store while they still shipped internationally and it literally took MONTHS for this baby to arrive via boat.  Three months.  Three months of looonnngg waiting.  Worth every second!

Now these are much easier to get here in the states thanks to Llarowe, but you need to be stealthy to get them for sure!

I thought the application was very good and it didn't take a lot of coats to make it opaque (this is three coats below).  I was very happy with this one and I hope to get some more in the future!

Hopefully you can score Emily de Molly at Llarowe!

Across the Universe

Today I have another first, Enchanted Polish.

Holy wow, now I see what the fervor is about.  Duochrome.  Holo.  Perfection.

The first one up from my Enchanted haul is Across the Universe, a beautiful purple/blue duochrome with holo particles.  I found the polish to be a tad bit on the thin side, so application was a bit messy for me, but fortunately it cleans up nicely.  This is three coats on its own.

Enchanted polishes can be found at her online store , Llarowe, or Harlow & Co.

Wild Thing

Today I have one of the finds I got while "dusty hunting", which is going into various salons, checking out what they have merchandise wise and trying to get a great find.

In the bottle Essie Wild Thing seemed like a slam dunk.  Shimmer, holo polishes, great color.

On the nail?  Meh.  It was a bit too sheer for my liking.  The holo didn't pack the punch I was looking for.  It was just sort of okay.

But on the upside I didn't pay full price for it, so wahoo for me.

Very Pretty Vampire in Raspberry

GAH, I've been caught!  I am sorry for no "intro" here, I had set up a bunch of future posts to remember what I painted and didn't get to putting text into all of them.

I've been so far behind in posting manis, this was one way to keep me on my toes, but Thanksgiving had me so busy, that I didn't get to come back and fill in a bunch!

BAD SHANNON.

Anyway, I started off with two coats of Barry M Raspberry.  If you don't have Barry M in your life, you need it.  Harlow & Co sells it.  BUY THEM ALL!  50.00 gets you free shipping! (wink wink, nudge nudge).

Then I topped it with Lynnderella Very Pretty Vampire.  This was one of those colors I thought I had a dupe for, so I sold my original bottle.  Then, I realized, that the dupes were not as pretty and I re-bought another bottle!  I love the way these two paired!  You see one coat below.

Witches Warts Take a Walk on the Wild Side

Another Halloween line polish, but this doesn't scream Halloween to me, it works well in the fall or winter.  I started off with two coats of Essence Walk on the Wild Side.  A Beautiful Green with microflakies.  Again, I can't go gaga enough over Essence's polishes for the cost.  BUY THEM ALL!

Then I put a coat of Lacquistry Witches Warts over top.  This polish really exploded over the base, causing people to really compliment my nails every step of the way.  As with all of my Lacquistry polishes, it was perfection.  Jenna has an amazing ability to know how to make fantastic combination of glitters and colors to make everything pop.

Laquistry polishes can be purchased at her Etsy Store.

Sailor's Delight in Candy Corn

Today I have yet another forgotten Halloween mani.  But I loved this combo so much I felt like I wanted to share it still.

I started off with three coats of Girly Bits Sailor's Delight.  A beautiful orange jelly base with gold flakies.  It is a bit sheer, but completely buildable.  Here you can barely see my nail line.

Then I put on a coat of Girly Bits Candy Corn on top.  The Candy Corn is what pushes this into Halloween, but Sailor's Delight is perfect for fall!

As with all of my Girly Bits, application is a dream.  Great company all around, I've never had a single issue and all of them are magnificent!

Girly Bits can be purchased at her Big Cartel Store as well as on Llarowe and Harlow & Co.

Once Upon A Time There Was a MILF......

Illamasqua MILF with Whimsical Ideas by Pam MILF

I was in the mood for a departure from the dark manicures that is fall, so I had to grab up this pretty combo.  I started off with Illamasqua MILF, a gorgeous soft green.  It was a perfect polish and was opaque in 2 coats.

Then I topped it with Whimsical Ideas by Pam Once Upon a Time.  Gorgeous, soft, princessy - I knew I had to have this one the minute I saw it.  Some of the glitters matched the undies, but I sort of liked it like that.

As with all of my Whimsies as I like to call them, the formula was perfection.  I have been thrilled by every Pam I own.  <3

Whimsical Ideas by Pam can be purchased through her Facebook page.

Pheasant has Gorgeous Bling Bling

Today I have a fun pairing.  I started off with Essence Gorgeous Bling Bling, an orange with gold flakies.  I'm in love with this Essence line, it is super cheap and goes on great.  I pick one up every time I'm at Ulta.

Then I put one coat of Rainbow Polish Pheasant over top.  This is a fantastic glitter topcoat with teal and gold glitter with orange holographic microglitter to make it sing.  I'm definitely a big fan!  Easy to apply, fantastic glitter spread.  I've been thrilled with every Rainbow Polish I've tried!

Rainbow Polish can be purchased at her big cartel store

What's This? Deal with It!

Another combo from before Halloween coming your way.

I started off with two coats of Cult Nails Deal with It.  This is a gorgeous shimmery electric green.  I only used two coats because I knew I was layering it, but as you can see there was a bit of VNL showing.

Then I added two coats of Dollish Polish What's This from her Halloween collection.  This polish screams Halloween to me.  It had a great mix of colors and sizes.  The large black squares were pretty easy to get out along with the rest of the glitter.   This is a hungry glitter, but one coat of gelous and one coat of Seche smoothed it out perfectly.

Dollish Polish can be purchased at her Big Cartel Store.  Cult Nails can be purchased through their online store.

Nightshade in Indigo

Today I have a pair of polishes that I think worked perfectly together.

I started off with BarryM Indigo, a beautiful blurple crelly that applies like a dream.  I am so gaga over all Barry M Polishes, I wish we could get these in the states!!!  Two coats was perfect to cover the nail and the shine on this was out of this world.

Then I added one coat of Lynnderella Night Shade.  A beautiful multi-colored blue glitter in all shapes and sizes.  I know there was a ton of drama surrounding her a while back, but I honestly have to say she makes some gorgeous polishes.  I find ordering on ebay to be very easy and Paul, who handles her ebay sales, is very professional.  I don't get involved with the LE polishes (too pricy), but for the core line polishes?  I'm a sucker for the pretty!

Lynnderella can be purchased through her ebay store.  Barry M can be found through Harlowe & Co.
